FLYING KICK TRYOUT 2008
Please don't be afraid to come to Marcos and I to ask for suggestions.
We can help you find a good spot with us or another club.
We are not like so many clubs that get all upset when you leave, keep a honest and open relationship with us. Whispers on the side line and poaching of players by our very own families just cause confusion and hurt feelings to the players and friends and should not be there.
At tryouts we will let you know if you made 0, 1, 2 or 3 of our teams. We'll give you descriptions and suggestions we feel are the best for you, but leave you with the final decision of where (which age group) you want to play.  You will be able to register/sign-up on that same day.

General Tryout tips:
Get physically fit beforehand: run, train and eat well. If you arrive in shape the coach will see you are committed to the team and the game.

Control those Butterflies! More talented athletes are able to control their anxiety and apprehensions which lets them stay focus ed

Follow the same pre-game routine: Having a set way of doing things keeps you focused on the game, and less anxious. Showing up with "something to prove" will keep you tense and slower.

Be a team player: Show that you work well on a team by congratulating someone for his/her great play. Think of yourself second.

Let your good qualities stand out: Play up your strengths.

Find balance: Play hard, but do it the spirit of helping th e team.

Follow your coach instructions to a T. Tryouts are not a good place to prove to your coach you have a better way of doing things.

Be respectful to your coach and players by listening closely. No talking while the coach is talking. Include everyone in your conversations, not just your friends; show you can work with all your teammates.
